John Dahl began his audio career in retail sales while studying at university in San Diego. More than 20 years later, his career has spanned numerous home theater, cinema and professional studio projects at all levels of cost and complexity. As Senior Fellow and Director of Education at THX, Dahl spearheads the THX Certified Professional Education program, which serves thousands of professional home theater dealers, calibrators and installers around the world.
Prior to joining THX, he was an independent consultant to the consumer electronics industry, working with clients such as Atlantic Technology, DWIN and Soundstream. Previously, Dahl was senior product development manager at NAD Electronics, where he managed the planning and development of high-end consumer audio components. Today, he is a Top Ten CEDIA Instructor, and holds training courses and seminars at CES, CEDIA, SINOCES and other events around the globe.
