- Why delete an iCloud backup?

"The change in the smart cover requiring a specific polarity was done because some people found that when wrapping the smart cover around to the back, the screen would turn off. So, Apple change the polarity of their smart covers at some point to correct this and made the new iPad sensitive to the polarity. So, no Apple isn't doing this to screw the 3rd party cases. In fact, some of the early smart covers don't work (but I understand that if you bring in the smart cover that isn't working with the new iPad, Apple will replace it).
