Trivia

  • The show features self-described "rat holes" where the hosts go completely off-topic for a few minutes. A brief song was composed by Merlin Mann as a theme, later extended by Paul Minshall, for such segments although it has been conspicuously absent for the last few months. The rathole jingle has poped up in MBW # 152
  • A Beatles-themed iPod in the works has been the prominent rumor of the show almost since its inception.
  • Product recommendations are described in a currency called an Alex, one Alex being roughly equivalent to $700 U.S. dollars, the cost of Adobe Photoshop at the time of the currency's inception. It was so named because Alex Lindsay frequently mentions items that cost a large amount of money.
  • The entire regular cast now has their own jingles, provided by Geoff Smith.
