I was wondering in what format the Pods In Print transcripts come to you. If they come in a consistent format, I or someone else could write a script to translate their format into wiki syntax (plus any additional header information that Pods In Print doesn't provide). —listrophy ( t | c | Logs: b • d • p • r ) 16:23, 25 February 2009 (PST)
- Thanks listrophy. I think they're going to be able to enter the transcripts themselves. I told them simply to put three apostrophes around the person being quoted. However I did a test on their first two and couldn't figure out why the name was coming in on the same line as the quote. Perhaps it needs a forced break in wiki syntax? I don't know what that is, do you? Also, if this experiment works out, they may be able to do transcripts for a number of shows. Thanks for your help.Danegolden 21:59, 25 February 2009 (PST)
- In order for a line break to appear in the output text, there needs to be two line breaks in the source. Another thing you could do is put a semicolon in front of the name and then just have one line break before what the person said, which is probably easier. -- Imperator3733 (talk | contribs | sysop | Logs: b • d • p • r) 09:14, 26 February 2009 (PST)
Re: Templates
- I'm not sure about changing where the "Transcript" link is. I sort of like it where it is. You could always bring it up at the Bulletin Board and see if anyone responds.
- I like the idea of changing the text above the infobox to a 2 line format, but when I tried doing that just now, it messed up the formating. I'll try figuring out what needs to be done to make it work tomorrow (well, technically that would be today :) ).
- Are you thinking of putting the summary before the table of contents or in the infobox? I'd go with having it be before the TOC – it seems like there should be at least a little bit of text there.
Let me know if you have any other questions/comments. -- Imperator3733 (talk | contribs | sysop | Logs: b • d • p • r) 23:53, 10 March 2009 (PDT)
- I got the infobox to work and updated all the appropriate templates. -- Imperator3733 (talk | contribs | sysop | Logs: b • d • p • r) 06:43, 11 March 2009 (PDT)]]
Thanks!
- Thanks, Imperator3733, I appreciate it!
- Sounds good on the transcript link, I trust your judgment.
- The episode link looks much better I think. The link is easier to distinguish so more useful.
- I think the summary somewhere before or soon after the TOC. Not in infobox.

Re: How to be a guest on TWiT
To move a page you click on the "Move" tab at the top of the page (between "Delete" and "(Un)Protect"), then in the next page choose the new title and a reason (which can be anything really). Since the page you want to move to already exists, first you should delete the page that you want to move to (use "Housekeeping" as the reason). After that page is deleted, you will be able to move Being a guest on TWiT.tv. The page also looks good enough to link to from the Main Page. -- Imperator3733 (talk | contribs | sysop | Logs: b • d • p • r) 16:55, 13 March 2009 (PDT)
Re: Merging TWiL Show Notes
All the pages that start with "TWiL" are redirects to pages that start with "This WEEK in LAW". I went ahead and merged "TWiL22" and "This WEEK in LAW 22". In general, show note pages begin with the full name of the netcast (except for TWiT). -- Imperator3733 (talk | contribs | sysop | Logs: b • d • p • r) 20:56, 20 March 2009 (PDT)

Re: Adding Tutorial On How To Edit Show Notes
The link is added. I also got rid of a bit of the extra white space on the page. -- Imperator3733 (talk | contribs | sysop | Logs: b • d • p • r) 22:55, 17 May 2009 (PDT)
Re: Roz Rows Show Notes Template
The templates are all set and I created a (very) basic page at Roz Rows 43 to make sure everything works. I just tweeted to see if someone can add episodes to Roz Rows Show Notes. -- Imperator3733 (talk | contribs | sysop | Logs: b • d • p • r) 21:20, 19 May 2009 (PDT)
iTunes Links
I have created a page for the links for iTunes. You can find it on the iTunes page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Teentwit (talk • contribs) 07:17, 23 May 2009

Re: Dr. Kiki Section and Show Notes Template
I added the link to Main Page, but the show notes template had already been created. I did update the new page link section, though. -- Imperator3733 (talk | contribs | sysop | Logs: b • d • p • r) 09:09, 30 May 2009 (PDT)
Re: Staff pages (and other message)
Since most hosts have their own pages it would probably be a good idea to give each staff member a page.
Also, what do you think about this idea from Mmike? -- Imperator3733 (talk | contribs | sysop | Logs: b • d • p • r) 09:04, 3 June 2009 (PDT)
Re: FriendFeed Conversations
I added the FriendFeed: parameter (friendfeed: also works) to all the templates. It just needs the URL of the conversation page. You can look at Windows Weekly 111 to see what it looks like. -- Imperator3733 (talk | contribs | sysop | Logs: b • d • p • r) 17:32, 11 June 2009 (PDT)
Re: FLOSS Weekly hosts
Sorry about taking so long to respond to this one. I'm thinking we just do what's going on with Net@night and just include the co-hosts in the Hosts: parameter (i.e. it would be |Hosts = [[Leo Laporte]], [[Randal Schwartz]], and [[Jono Bacon]] instead of |Hosts = [[Leo Laporte]] and [[Randal Schwartz]]). If we wanted to add another parameter, we should really change it on the Net@night pages as well for consistence. -- Imperator3733 (talk | contribs | sysop | Logs: b • d • p • r) 22:07, 18 June 2009 (PDT)

Re: This Week in Google
I've create the show page (This WEEK in GOOGLE), the show notes page (This WEEK in GOOGLE Show Notes), the infobox (Template:Infobox TWiG), the preload (Template:Preload This Week in Google), and updated the new page preload links (MediaWiki:Newarticletext/shownotes). I think that should be everything but if I missed something let me know. I have also assumed that the webpage for TWiG will be http://twit.tv/twig so if it's something else, just let me know. -- Imperator3733 (talk | contribs | sysop | Logs: b • d • p • r) 12:31, 1 August 2009 (PDT)
Re: Searching for Volunteer Show Note takers
That sounds like a good idea. I updated MacBreak Weekly in the Show Notes section. Is that a good way to put everything or should it be somewhere else (like in the infobox)? I also need a list of the note takers for the other shows. -- Imperator3733 (talk | contribs | sysop | Logs: b • d • p • r) 19:16, 8 August 2009 (PDT)
TWiG Wiki Page
Dane, I have updated the TWiT Wiki Page with an updated history about how the show originated. Would you mind just checking it to see if you want anything adding or removing. This WEEK in GOOGLE

Re: Staff pages
I see no problem with the staff having their own pages. There are links from the staff page to each staff member's page, so they can create the pages whenever they feel like it.
Also, on TWiT, are the panelists considered hosts or guests? -- Imperator3733 (talk | contribs | sysop | Logs: b • d • p • r) 09:07, 26 September 2009 (PDT)
127.0.0.1
Do you have any ideas why there have been several edits from 127.0.0.1? It seems to me that those edits would have to come from the actual wiki.twit.tv server. Most of the edits were productive, but some of the recent ones were vandalism. -- Imperator3733 (talk | contribs | sysop | Logs: b • d • p • r) 14:08, 5 October 2009 (PDT)

NSFW
Is NSFW an a official TWiT Show? If yes, should I make a wiki page for it? Thanks. --Technical08 10:28, 2 December 2009 (PST)
I'll be able to make all the necessary pages and templates for NSFW after I'm done with finals tomorrow, unless Technical wants to make them before then. -- Imperator3733 (talk | contribs | sysop | Logs: b • d • p • r) 11:09, 16 December 2009 (PST)
