Category talk:Show Notes
- I find this "subcategories" and then "Pages in category "Show Notes"" confusing.
When you go to the subcategories link to e.g. Munchcast there are only two shows listed (55 and 56) whereas if you go to the page for Muchcast you can see there are four episodes w. notes. What is the purpose if the subcategories page of the shows? I would like to see just the "Pages in category "Show Notes"" and no subcategories.--KCanard 06:00, 30 January 2009 (PST)
- I included the subcategories in the templates used by the shows, so each show notes article should be automatically added to the appropriate category. As far as why the pages are in the subcategories and not in this category, it would be way to confusing to have a category with all of those pages. This is a much simpler system. -- Imperator3733 (talk | contribs | sysop | Logs: • • • ) 06:35, 30 January 2009 (PST)
- The problem I see is that when you click on "Shows" in the navigation, then "Show Notes" the first thing you see on that page is the links to the categories. I think people would expect to see first the links to pages that will contain a lists of links to show pages going back in time.
- For example when I first came to the wiki and was looking for notes to a particular episode of TWiT, I kept clicking on the subcategories' link to the TWiT and was like "What's this?" because that's not the page I was looking for. What I wanted were the links to the show notes page that allowed me to see a list of shows with titles and guests etc.
