Spinrite Story

19:05 - 20:10 Mac Morris (Unknown)

I recently downloaded SpinRite 6 to fix a hard drive at my workplace. The hard drive would attempt to boot and then give the famous Blue Screen. I ran SpinRite and received a clean bill of health. However, the clean bill of health led me to the real problem, which was a corrupt Windows installation. After repairing the installation, all was well. Well, my boss decided not to let SpinRite go to waste. I have since used it to successfully recover two dead hard drives, and have two more on which to run it.
