Windows 7 Feature of the Week: Action Center

  • The Windows Security Center from XP SP2 and Vista gets an upgrade and some integration with the new troubleshooting infrastructure in Windows 7. In addition to monitoring security, Action Center also monitors the OS's maintenance features and consolidates alerts from numerous Windows features into a single interface.

Windows 7 Tip of the Week: Find your way home with breadcrumbs

  • The Windows 7 address bar in Explorer windows simplifies the path, but you can find the path if you need it. Better yet, you can use its breadcrumb feature to find your way through the file system hierarchy.
